Jack at university
I completed my advanced level studies in 2011. In 2012 I applied for a scholarship in kumi university, was admitted but didn't have the money to pay the other balance since it was a quarter bursary. In 2013, I applied to do a course in Kampala international university where someone promised to pay for my tuition but that didn't work out and I completely lost hope in education. None of my family members has gone to university, so I wish and hope to be the first in the family to join university but am unable to due to lack of fees.
I do play football and has played amateur football for about 12 years with a hope of becoming professional but that hasn't gone well.
In 2014, I met a friend from Holland who paid for my education to acquire a certificate in motor vehicle engineering and that costed him about £ 2500 but that didn't mean I could sustain my family looking at the education system in Uganda. I still had to do another certificate (DIT) that can make me either get a small job with a reasonable garage or continue with my education. Unfortunately this Dutch friend could no longer pay for my studies as he had other responsibilities to do.
Since 2016 when I completed my certificate, I have been unemployed, never got a small job or gone to advance for studies. Am trying hard to do subsistence farming but also lacks enough resources to do it.
I appeal to anyone, everyone out there to come support me in the quest to get back to school so that I can be able to sustain myself, my family, the community around me and also inspire the young generation and make them believe that there will always be a future and hope in everything they do. I am also open to more connections.
Thank you in advance.
