Momenteel leven we in een bijzondere wereld anders dan eerder en veel dingen zijn veranderd.
In Nederland hebben we moeilijke tijden en elke persoon ervaart dit op een andere manier. Maar in Nepal zijn het ook moeilijke tijden. Nepal heeft een speciaal plekje in mijn hart, in 2019 heb ik er vrijwilligerswerk gedaan met Vin in een Vrouwen empowerment project. Het was een bijzonder mooie levens veranderende ervaring. Ik heb verschillende interessante andere internationale vrijwilligers ontmoet. En ook "locals" die weinig hadden in materieel opzicht maar gaven mij veel. Ze lieten mij op een andere manier naar mijn leven kijken dat heeft mij heel goed gedaan. Ook heb ik Vin de organisatie leren kennen als een bijzondere mooie club met een erg inspirerende oprichter Bhupendra Ghimire.
Vin is een non-profit organisatie in Katmandu. Ze werken in landelijke gebieden en zijn begonnen in 2005. Hun missie is om arme gemeenschappen met bewoners met weinig educatie te verstreken door integrale programma's.Er zijn veel vrijwilligers mogelijkheden om hierbij betrokken te raken, zie ook hun website:https://www.volunteersinitiativenepal.org/ Ik heb persoonlijk meegemaakt hoe toegewijd het personeel van Vin is en de waardering die ze hebben voor lokale en internationale vrijwilligers. Samen doen ze geweldig werk in Nepal, wat echt nodig is in het land!
Vin heeft nu erg moeilijke tijden omdat ze afhankelijk zijn van internationale inkomsten bronnen van vrijwilligers. Natuurlijk is dat er nu niet vanweg Covid-19. Om te kunnen overleven als organisatie, hebben ze moeilijke beslissingen moeten nemen en hebben sommige personeels leden moeten ontslaan en sommige zijn op onbetaalde verlof gegaan voor nog onbekende tijd. In Nepal is er geen hulp van de overheid hierbij.
Vin is een lokale organisatie en geen grote internationale organisatie dus ze krijgen geen hulp van organisaties als WHO of UN. Daarom heeft Vin echt hulp nodig om te overleven. De grootste zorgen die Vin nu heeft is om het personeel te betalen en de hypotheek van het hoofdkantoor, wat ook een hostel is voor de vrijwilligers. Natuurlijk kunnen ze nu ook nauwelijks hun goede werk uitvoeren voor de zwakste in de samenleving van Nepal.
Zoals je kunt lezen ben ik erg betrokken bij Vin en heb ik contact met de mensen daar. Het werken daar heeft mijn leven veranderd en nu is het de tijd om hen te helpen!
Maar dit is niet zomaar een donatie doen maar je krijgt er wat voor terug!

Optie 1: 1 uur Leefstijl Coach Sessie, 40 Euro (het hele bedrag gaat naar Vin):
Je krijgt een 1 uur durende leefstijl coach sessie ( Ik ben o.a. een gecertificeerde Leefstijl Coach), telefonisch of met video bellen. Dit is beschikbaar in Nederlands en Engels. Ik doe dit alleen met personen die ik zelf niet ken. Een collega van mij zal dit doen met personen die ik wel ken.

• Optie 2: Vegan taart. Alleen verkrijgbaar in Nijmegen of dichtbij Nijmegen. 20 euro (70 % gaat naar Vin, de rest voor de ingrediënten):
Je krijgt een lekkere homemade, vegan taart ( 8 stukken)..................................................................
• Optie 3 Nepalese koffie. 18 Euro (70 % gaat naar Vin, 30 % kosten inkoop en verzending):
Je krijgt bijzonder lekkere Nepalese koffie. Ook ondersteun je hiermee lokale Nepalse boeren ( 80dayscoffee.com)..................................................................
• Optie 4: Audio Meditatie
10 euro (het hele bedrag gaat naar vin):
Je krijgt een speciale audio meditatie gemaakt door mijzelf. Om lekker bij de kunnen ontspannen.

ENGLISH:Fundraising Appeal: VIN (Volunteers Initiative Nepal) NEPAl
We currently live in a strange and different world then we did before and many things changed.
In the Netherlands we have difficult times and each person experiences it in a different way but also in Nepal has difficult times. Nepal has a special place in my heart because in 2019 I was volunteering with Vin in the women’s empowerment project. It was such a wonderful and life changing experience for me and you can read my story here: http://www.volunteersinitiativenepal.org/vin-articles/my-nepalese-adventure/. I stayed in a lovely host family in the mountains and I met lots of other wonderful international volunteers. I also met many locals who had so little but gave so much to me. They taught me to look at my life in another way, and that made me feel so fulfilled. I also got to know Vin as a whole, and it is a wonderful organisation with a very inspiring founder Bhupendra Ghimire.
Vin is a not-for-profit NGO based in Kathmandu, working in rural communities of Nepal and it was founded in 2005. Their mission is to empower marginalized communities through equitable, inclusive and holistic developments programs. There are lots of volunteering opportunities to get involved and please check out their website: https://www.volunteersinitiativenepal.org/. I have personally experienced just how dedicated their staff members are and how much the organisation values the efforts and contributions of local and international volunteers. Together, volunteers and staff members alike, they do wonderful work which is really needed in Nepal.
Now it is a very difficult time for Vin because the organisation relies on international volunteers for income generation. Obviously this has come to a stop due to Covid-19. To help the organisation survive, they made a difficult decision to let some of the staff members go and others being placed on unpaid leave until further notice. As a developing country, there is also no help from the government for staff or organisations.
Vin is a local organisation and not affiliated with international charities who might get funding from partners such as WHO or the UN. That is why Vin really needs funding support to survive. The biggest concern for Vin right now is to be able to pay the staff and to be able to pay the mortgage of the Vin head office, which also also operates as a hostel for volunteers.
As you can see, I’m really passionate about Vin. This experience has changed my life and I want to help them now by fundraising for them.
This is not your usual ask for donations. This is a “give and get” fundraiser!

• Option 1: 1 hour Lifestyle Coach Session
40 Euros (total amount goes to Vin):
You will get a lifestyle coach session for 1 hour by me by phone or video phoning. Available in Dutch and English. I will only do this with persons I do not know myself. A colleague of me will offer this service with persons I do know myself.
