Mohamad. - Student documentary

Hallo allemaal!
Wij zijn 5 Creative Business studenten op Breda University of Applied Sciences in Nederland. Voor een van onze projecten in onze Creative Producing module, werken wij aan een korte documentaire met een duur van 15 minuten.
Deze documentaire volgt Mohamad, een 19-jarige vluchteling uit Syrië. Hij heeft noodgedwongen zijn land moeten ontvluchten toen hij nog maar 12 jaar oud was.
In deze documentaire zal Mohamad zijn verhaal vertellen, zijn grootste dromen bespreken en neemt hij ons mee in zijn integratieproces. Hoe was zijn leven in Syrië? Is het gelukt om te integreren in Nederland? Wat voor effect heeft zijn vlucht op hem gehad?
We willen met deze documentaire de realiteit laten zien achter de veelal bevooroordeelde vluchtelingen in Nederland. Daarnaast, willen we de kijker graag de mogelijkheid bieden om in de schoenen te staan van een jongen die noodgedwongen heeft moeten vluchten en hopen we door een ander perspectief te bieden mensen te inspireren.
Om onze visie te realiseren hebben wij echter jouw hulp nodig! Als ambitieuze studenten hebben wij genoeg, visie, ambitie en drive om dit project de grond uit te stampen. Helaas zijn wij naast ambitieus, ook arme studenten wiens zakken helaas niet zo diep rijken.
Elke bijdrage brengt ons al dichter bij ons doel om Mohamad’s prachtige verhaal te verfilmen. Wij vinden het superbelangrijk dat we jou kunnen garanderen dat jouw donaties goed terecht komen. Hieronder vind je daarom een overzicht van de zaken waar donaties eventueel terecht zouden kunnen komen:
Reiskosten:
We zijn studenten die allemaal in Breda wonen, maar onze hoofdpersoon leeft in het prachtige Maastricht, aan de andere kant van het land. Hier komen uiteraard reiskosten bij kijken.
Overnachting:
Omdat we meerdere dagen gaan filmen weg van onze eigen huizen, hebben we een overnachting voor de crew nodig.
Catering:
Hongere buiken moeten gevuld worden! We gaan een aantal dagen op pad samen met Mohamad. Graag zouden we onze crew voorzien van lunch en avondeten.
Apparatuur:
Een documentaire komt natuurlijk niet zomaar op beeld. Hiervoor is een hoop apparatuur nodig. Met jouw hulp kunnen wij de beste camera’s huren om zo Mohamad’s verhaal in hoge kwaliteit te kunnen vertellen.
Licensie:
Muziek en beelden van nieuwszenders en andere mensen kosten geld i.v.m. copyright. Met een kleine bijdrage kunnen we deze elementen integreren in onze documentaire.
Natuurlijk wordt elke donatie gewaardeerd, daarom hebben we ook beloningen voor uw donatie als waardering! Elke donatie krijgt sowieso een klein bedankberichtje.

Hello everyone!
We are 5 Creative Business students at Breda University of Applied Sciences in The Netherlands. For one of our projects in our Creative Producing course, we are working on a short documentary with a duration of 15 minutes. (Don't forget to scroll further to see the benefits of giving us bigger donations!)
This documentary follows 19-year old Mohamad, a refugee from Syria. He was forced to flee his country when he was just 12 years old, because of the Syrian civil war that is still going on to this day. We want to tell his story, but also his dreams. What was life like in Syria? And what is it like here? Did he manage to integrate into this country? How has this affected him? How did he learn Dutch? And what is his dream for the future? Mohamad's story will show everyone that he is just as much part of this country as anyone born here.
The goal of our documentary is to prove people wrong about their judgments about refugees and also teach the viewers more about refugees. Because they are people, just like us. We want our short documentary “Mohamad” to inspire people.
We are starting with the shooting in a few weeks and we are very excited! But to make this happen we need your help. To make a good-quality documentary we need money. To give you a clearer view of what your donations will be used for, there is a list below:
Travel expenses:
We are students from Breda, but our protagonist's life is in the beautiful Maastricht, a different side of the country. We will need to travel back and forth to get to the location.
Overnight stay:
Because we are shooting multiple days away from our own homes, we need a place to stay for our crew.
Catering:
Hungry bellies need to be fed! And as we take Mohamad with us for full shooting days, we want to be able to provide him with lunches, dinners and snacks too.
Equipment:
Most of the equipment is lent to us by our school, but to make the cinematography even more beautiful and compelling, we would like rent some extra equipment from Budgetcam.
Licensing:
Beautiful music and news segments and/or footage from other creators cost money due to copyright!
Of course every donation is highly appreciated, however we also offer rewards for your donations as an appreciation. Every donation will get a thank you note anyways.
